Public bug reported:
I am reporting an issue with the Broadcom ControlVault 3 fingerprint
sensor on my Dell Latitude 5420. The device is detected by the OS
(lsusb), but it is not initialized by fprintd.
Hardware: Dell Latitude 5420
Sensor ID: 0a5c:5843
OS: Kubuntu 26.04 LTS
Expected behavior: The fingerprint sensor should be initialized and available
for authentication via fprintd.
Actual behavior: Running fprintd-enroll returns:
"GDBus.Error:net.reactivated.Fprint.Error.NoSuchDevice: No devices available".
** Affects: fprintd (Ubuntu)
