I'm running 22.04.5 LTS on my father's computer because that makes it less likely that he messes things up.
I am however not proficient enough to replicate the work-around made by Westman above. I just want to upgrade out of this issue and let the computer recieve updates again. When I try to run a release upgrade, I get the same segmetation faults as referred to here. Thus I am not confident to go through with an upgrade. I understand this is not meant to be a user forum but can anyone help me work around this issue and upgrade to 24.04 LTS? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2156906 Title: appstreamcli segmentation fault prevents SW updates To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/appstream/+bug/2156906/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
