hi Fantu, thx for your feedback. This ticket is very old, I just updated its
description.
I stopped using https://github.com/yannmrn/boot-repair in 2011, and didn't even
remember it, so I deleted it today to avoid confusion.
I still actively maintain Boot-Repair, and latest code can be found in
https://launchpad.net/~yannubuntu/+archive/ubuntu/boot-repair/+packages (there
is no compilation, so all files are readable).
BTW, I'm preparing a new version with a powerful GTK4 engine (gui4script), if
anyone wants to test it and give feedback, it's in my dev ppa (boot-repair-dev).

** Description changed:

  - small graphical tool to restore access to Ubuntu and other OS (Windows..;
Very frequent issue, specially for dual-booting)
  - Repairs most frequent boot problems very easily (before this tool it was
usually very hard and technical).
  - Nice friendly interface. Actively maintained.
  - mostly useful in live-session (when boot on disk is broken), which is why
it is important to include it in the ISO
  - currently used (via PPA or DEB) by ~1000 users/day, which means there is a
real need
  - Has been reviewed by several Debian-mentors / MOTUs.
  - NEEDS A SPONSOR TO UPLOAD IT INTO DEBIAN / UBUNTU REPOSITORIES.
