This bug report shows that the given repair processes don't work, but if
the system isn't broken. I can still reboot into the computer normally.

Whereas bug #2157702 completely breaks the system, with no way to
recover it. Once the Grub has been changed, you cannot boot into the
computer at all. There's no way back.

The two bugs possibly (probably?) affect each other; I don't know,
because I don't understand enough about it. I'm still trying to learn my
way around the new methodology.
