Public bug reported:

Featherpad was working fine until one day when I enabled japanese
language input using mozc.

Initially when I typed in japanese, the featherpad UI got stuck and
crashed soon after. I thought it might be because of the input and
changed the input back to english but it still crashed. I then tried
rebooting and opening featherpad but it still keeps crashing.

I searched google and found this command to prevent using mozc:
'QT_IM_MODULE=ibus IBUS_USE_PORTAL=1 featherpad'
And featherpad does not crash when using this command, but I am not able to
type in japanese in featherpad
