To add some details, when click on a .deb a window appears asking for
the password. After entering the password and hit authenticate gdebi
just disappears.

in the terminal

sudo gdebi-gtk ./foo.deb

the gdebi window appears but it doesn't do anything, there is no error
message.

Downgrade to gdebi 0.9.5.7+nmu7 (grabbed it from launchpad) Still the same
issue, click a .deb, window appears to ask for password, enter password and
authenticate then gdebi just quietly quits. But it works in 24.04.

But version 0.9.5.7 works in the terminal (in 26.04)
