Public bug reported:
On Kubuntu 26.04 (kernel 7.0.0-27-generic, GENERIC not OEM), the built-in
MIPI camera (Sony IMX471, ACPI SONY471A) is detected but intel-ipu7 fails
to probe. The IPU bridge tries to register software node "SONY471A-0",
which already exists, so registration aborts:

No third-party / DKMS / OEM camera stack is installed. Only the in-tree
intel_ipu7 and ipu_bridge modules are loaded. dkms is not installed.
Hardware: LENOVO ThinkPad X9-15 Gen 1, model 21Q6004KCL.
No /dev/video* or working camera device is created as a result.
Expected: IPU7 bridge initializes and the IMX471 camera becomes available.
Actual: bridge init aborts on duplicate SONY471A-0 software node, probe
fails with -17.
This appears related to but distinct from bug 2107320 (IMX471 enablement,
Fix Released) and bug 2121948 (IMX471 suspend/resume, "-5 failed to find
sensor"). Those concern getting the sensor recognized; here the sensor IS
recognized and the bridge then fails on a duplicate software-node
registration (-EEXIST / -17).
