Not a kernel bug. The build failure was caused by an out-of-tree
rtl8821ce DKMS module (leftover from an old Wi-Fi card) that fails to
build against kernel 6.17. After removing the module, the 6.17 HWE
kernel installed and configured cleanly. Marking as Invalid.
