Hi, I also ran into this problem on an old MacBook Air A1466 with a BCM4360 WiFi card. Originally, I was running Linux Mint 22.3, but I installed Ubuntu 24.04.4 for testing purposes. The fixed version of broadcom-sta- dkms at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archive/primary/+files/broadcom- sta-dkms_6.30.223.271-23ubuntu1.2_all.deb installed without any problems and WiFi worked afterwards, both using the original 6.17.0-14-generic kernel, as well as with 6.17.0-35-generic after performing a regular upgrade. I also installed the -oem version of the kernel, as well as the -generic and -oem versions of the 6.8.0 kernel. The following lists all the exact kernel versions I tested:
* 6.8.0-124-generic * 6.8.0-1032-oem * 6.17.0-14-generic * 6.17.0-35-generic * 6.17.0-1025-oem On all of these, the DKMS build succeeded, the module installed, and WiFi worked after a reboot. There was never any UBSAN message logged to dmesg. I can provide a dmesg for any of the listed kernel versions if needed. Is there anything else that needs to be tested? I can also install other kernel versions or a different version of Ubuntu if needed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2120508 Title: [SRU] Kernel 6.17 support in broadcom-sta To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/broadcom-sta/+bug/2120508/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
