If autofs is used to mount something that snapd wants to work in, it makes 
sense that it waits until the mount is done, and if that fails it never 
succeeds - which is expected.
But I'm rather sure this is not a bug in autofs itself, hence I'll need more 
input to see if this is actionable for autofs. If you have further insights or 
hints why this could be a real bug (and not a configuration/setup issue), that 
would help!
