I am wondering if we should change this script at all.

FWIW, all it does is install/uninstall a user systemd service which runs
the docker daemon in rootless mode.

We are shipping it as is, as upstream makes it available. Currently, any
users running this script will need to make changes to it so it executes
properly. It implies they need to go through the script, its
documentation, and hopefully understand what is being done there.

Fixing and documenting its usage, may imply we fully support it. This
also means that we will need to deal with uninstalling the user service
in our postinst at least when purging the package, and manage the
service during package upgrades.

I am unsure if we should go down this route, and even less confident if
we really want to SRU it.

We could still document its usage, including a notice on having this
path being unsupported/experimental or saying it is available ins
/usr/share as an example.

I am adding a server-triage-discuss so the server team can debate on
this one offline.
