@Matthew, thanks for the feedback. freerdp3 already includes
libpcks11-helper1-dev as a build dependency, for noble and questing. On
resolute the pkcs11 headers are vendored.

At runtime, when a PKCS11 library is needed, freerdp3 has a list of
paths it checks for a PKCS11 shared library and dlopen's one if
available. The user can also supply a path to the library using the
'/kerberos:pkcs11-module:' flag.

Currently, the only codepaths that try to load the PKCS11 library are
when using smartcard logon with NLA and smartcard logon with remote
desktop gateway. In the currently released build, since PKCS11 is not
available, both of these will just fail. I'll add clarification to the
template above.
