Public bug reported:
After upgrading to 26.04 using do-release-upgrade, apt keeps
caomplaining aobut a mdadm post installer script error. this is a
serious error, because everything related to apt now gets an exit
status=error.
Description: Ubuntu 26.04 LTS
Release: 26.04
pt-cache policy mdadm
mdadm:
Installed: 4.5-5ubuntu1
Candidate: 4.5-5ubuntu1
Version table:
*** 4.5-5ubuntu1 500
500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu resolute/main amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
N: Ignoring file 'google-chrome.list.migrate' in directory
'/etc/apt/sources.list.d/' as it has an invalid filename extension
We should expect mdadm to install/ upgrade just fine as every other
package. Now it is haunting me with every apt related activity.
