Just wanted to state, that I have resolved the problem myself by uninstalling
the following old packages:
- intel-igc-core-2
- intel-igc-opencl-2

Apparently these were stale packets installed when I ran Ubuntu 25.10,
which put libraries into /usr/local/lib. Since /usr/local/lib took
precedence over /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/, incompatible libraries were
loaded, causing the abort.

All good now.

** Changed in: clinfo (Ubuntu)
