I just want to add one more episode[1]. TL;DR: ``` sudo apt reinstall memtest86+ ``` triggered `update-grub` which broke the grub menu in a very similar fashion as it did for @paddylandau. The only difference being that I have two more menu entries than him, the ones for the memtest options. :D
