Hello,

I found out that the above approach will not work for Linux kernel
"7.0.0-27-generic".
However, I found a better solution:

    - Install Ubuntu Studio.
    - Update the Linux kernel, to get the latest sound card drivers:
         apt-get update
         apt-get upgrade
     - Update ALSA packages:
         apt-get install alsa-utils alsa-tools alsa-firmware-loaders
     - Update all packages that are listed in the "Discover" tool.

     - Open the website "alsa-project.org", and click on "Download...".
Download the package "alsa-firmware" (Version 1.2.4 or later).
         Extract "alsa-firmware-1.2.4.tar.bz2" to "/tmp/".
Copy all "*.bin" from the "ca0132" directory to "/lib/firmware/":
           cp /tmp/alsa-firmware-1.2.4/ca0132/*.bin /lib/firmware/
     - Add a line to "alsa-base.conf", to fix audio position reports:
         echo "options snd-hda-intel position_fix=1" | sudo tee -a
/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
     - Reboot.
     - If you still have no sound, boot into Windows, and then reboot into
Ubuntu Studio.

This works very well for me.

Maybe you can add the latest firmware drivers from "alsa-project.org"
to the next version of Ubuntu Studio?
And also the "position_fix"?
That would help a lot!
Thank you for your effort.

Best regards,
Manfred Bittersam
