Thanks for the detailed investigation. This matches exactly what I saw on my ThinkPad X9-14 Gen 1 as well: the SONY471A sensor is detected, but ipu_bridge fails with duplicate software node SONY471A-0 / -EEXIST before creating any /dev/video* device.
The explanation that SONY471A is duplicated in ipu_supported_sensors[] makes sense and appears to directly explain the failure. I will wait for an official Ubuntu kernel update containing this patch and can test it on my X9-14 once available. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2158540 Title: ThinkPad X9-15 Gen 1: IPU7 camera probe fails — duplicate software_node SONY471A-0 (-EEXIST), bridge init failed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2158540/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
