Hi Aniket, well, I'm not sure if I got that.

These are the last recent Ubuntu Server version with their default
kernel versions:

Ubuntu-Server Codename Release Support GA
Kernel Version
Version Type Status
Ubuntu 26.04 Resolute Raccoon LTS Supported
7.0.0-xx-generic
Ubuntu 25.10 Questing Quokka Interim Supported
6.17.0-xx-generic
Ubuntu 25.04 Plucky Puffin Interim EOL (Jan 2026)
6.14.0-xx-generic
Ubuntu 24.10 Oracular Oriole Interim EOL (Jul 2025)
6.11.0-xx-generic
Ubuntu 24.04 Noble Numbat LTS Supported
6.8.0-xx-generic
Ubuntu 23.10 Mantic Minotaur Interim EOL (Jul 2024)
6.5.0-xx-generic
Ubuntu 23.04 Lunar Lobster Interim EOL (Jan 2024)
6.2.0-xx-generic
Ubuntu 22.10 Kinetic Kudu Interim EOL (Jul 2023)
5.19.0-xx-generic
Ubuntu 22.04 Jammy Jellyfish LTS Supported
5.15.0-xx-generic

And in (Launchpad), under comment number 4 (I guess comment #13 in BZ) I
read "kernel 7.0.0-22 both interfaces DO get IPs at boot ...", so that
tells me that the 26.04 kernel is not affected, since it ships by
default with a kernel 7.0.0-22.

I am not sure where the kernels 6.18.0-8 and 6.14.0-37 that you seem to have as
well are coming from?
Are these upstream kernels, that were compiled by IBM on Ubuntu ? Or were these
kernels that we produced during the course of the development cycle of that
release ? Supported is only the kernel that is shipped with the Ubuntu release
(hence the above).
