Public bug reported:
With this new kernel when I hybernate the workstation, it appears to
save the memory correctly like with previous linux kernel 6.x.x, when
the computer is turned on again, I can see the memory restore percentage
progress, but at the end of it the computer runs a fresh boot and does
not resume the previous state. This did not happen with previous 6.x.x
kernels that hybernate and resume correctly.
As a workaround I configured grub to boot from the latest 6.x.x kernel
setting:
GRUB_DEFAULT='Advanced options for Ubuntu>Ubuntu, with Linux
6.17.0-40-generic'
in /etc/default/grub
that does not show the issue.
If you want us to upgrade to linux kernel 7.x.x please fix this issue as
a matter of priority.
