Solved. you need to modify grub by replacing the line GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash " with GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash amdgpu.si_support=0 radeon.si_support=1" in /etc/default/grub update grub with sudo update- grub and reboot, in order to disable amdgpu, which, the new version installed by linux 7.0.0, creates the compatibility issue, and enable redeon
