Public bug reported:
After updating, the laptop's display brightness controls began behaving
incorrectly.
The controls still change the screen brightness intensity, but the
reported 100% level is substantially dimmer than the panel's normal
maximum brightness. While the reported brightness level is 100%, in
reality it's about 60% of what 100% was before the update. Booting
6.17.0-40-generic resolves the issue.
