Hello, I'm starting to review the packages, they seem fine to me but to ease
the upcoming AA review please do the following things:
1. Please be consistent in the source changes:
- Sometimes you mention .so.xx update and sometimes you don't,
- Sometimes you mix the changes of the debian folder and on the tarball.
I'm assuming the changes in
the tarball should be always prefixed with SOURCE? (maybe the name was
poorly chosen, that would be my bad). libnpp is the one with a problem. Maybe
there was an actual typo or shtg, because the "---" line is unexpected.
- I'm not always sure what is the difference between
- No source changes except the tarball,
- No changes (version bumps only),
- No-op (only `.so` symlink and pkgconfig renames),
- No upstream changes,
- No upstream changes (identical after version normalization).
- ... And sometimes you don't mention anything.
it's probably worth explaining somewhere what "no changes except the
tarball" means, in particular.
It's something that I should improve on the CUDA 13-2 ticket too. In here
we want to say that there
are no "real" new or removed files in the tarball, only modified ones or
so version bumps.
2. Please attach the source of this summary, the files that the tooling
generated to report differences in debian/ and in the orig tarball.
