Public bug reported:

ASUS X510UNR, Intel UHD Graphics 620, internal 1920x1080 eDP display,
external HDMI display.

With Ubuntu 24.04.4 and kernel 7.0.0-28-generic, the laptop most often
resumes from suspend with the internal eDP display remaining black. The
external HDMI display works normally and the system remains usable.

The issue is reproducible with the same hardware and BIOS 309.

I tested prime-select intel; the issue still occurs, so the NVIDIA MX150
does not appear to be required to trigger the problem.

The problem does not occur with kernel 6.17.0-40-generic: I performed
multiple suspend/resume cycles successfully with that kernel.

This therefore appears to be a regression between kernel 6.17.0-40 and
7.0.0-28.

Relevant messages observed with kernel 7.0.0-28 include:

i915_hotplug_work_func ... hogged CPU
drmModeAtomicCommit: Invalid argument

The internal display remains detected by xrandr as eDP-1 connected, but
remains black.
