Public bug reported:

When running a freshly installed Ubuntu 26.04 in a guest VM, on a
freshly installed Ubuntu 26.04 host, the resolution of the VM Window
Display of the guest VM is too high.

Resolution of the host: 1920 x 1080
Resolution of the guest: 2938 x 1538

This results in unreadably small text and icons.

The same was observed after updating Ubuntu hosts to 26.04, regardless
of the guest VM OS version.

xrandr reports the resolution of the host system as 3072x1728, although
it is 1920 x 1080. The host system is rendered correctly, despite the
wrong reported resolution.

The same is observed when using virt-viewer instead of virt-manager.
