BTW, disabling the dedicated smartcard auth with `gdm-config smartcard -d` and instead using the standard password auth + `SSS optional smart card authentication` (as configured by `pam-auth-update`) makes everything work as expected. This also brings the user selection back, so the username does not have to be typed in manually.
AFAICT the only thing that's lost is the automatic lock/logout when disconnecting the YubiKey, if configured. ** Attachment added: "Video demonstration with regular password auth" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/2161662/+attachment/5985900/+files/demo.mp4 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2161662 Title: smartcard auth breaks lockscreen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/2161662/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
