+ The lomiri-thumbnailer package fails to build in Ubuntu 26.04 LTS. This
+ makes it more difficult to fix other bugs or apply security fixes later.

+ lomiri-thumbnailer is only used for the Lomiri desktop. There is not yet
+ an official Ubuntu desktop flavor for Lomiri, so lomiri-thumbnailer is
+ not installed by default in any official Ubuntu desktop flavor.
+
+ The included patches are all included in newer versions of lomiri-thumbnailer
(as seen in Ubuntu 26.10 and Debian Testing).
+ - The cmake patches only fix the build and don't have functional impact
beyond that
+ - Most of the glycin patches only modify the tests to work correctly with
gdk-pixbuf which is now built using the glycin backend in Ubuntu. The remaining
glycin patch (1004_glycin.patch) is a workaround for an unimplemented feature
in gdk-pixbuf+glycin.
+ - LTO is disabled now because 3 of the build tests fail when it is enabled.
The error detected by the build tests is real and therefore we should disable
LTO until upstream figures out a way to avoid this failure. (Debian doesn't
enable LTO by default but Ubuntu does.)
+ - I also stopped disabling parallel running of dh_auto_test since it's
unnecessary for the build tests to succeed.

+ There were multiple issues preventing the build from succeeding.
+ - gdk-pixbuf is now built using the glycin backend which needed adjustments
both in lomiri-thumbnailer's build tests and in one case in
lomiri-thumbnailer's code
+ - Ubuntu 26.04 LTS switched to cmake 4 which needed a change to
lomiri-thumbnailer's build system. (There is one more trivial patch we could
add to avoid a build warning, but since it's only a warning I did not include
that patch.)
+ - Ubuntu 26.04 LTS updated boost to 1.90 which needed a change to
lomiri-thumbnailer's build system.
+ - Finally, Ubuntu's use of LTO caused an error detected by the build tests.
This error was not seen in Ubuntu 24.04 LTS so it's likely this was triggered
by a change in low level build tools like a newer version of gcc.
