Steps to reproduce:
1. Boot Ubuntu 26.04.
2. Log into GNOME Wayland.
3. Suspend from the power menu or close the laptop lid.
4. Wake the laptop.

Expected result:
The desktop should return normally.

Actual result:
The keyboard backlight turns on and Caps Lock responds, but the internal 
display remains black.
Ctrl+Alt+F3 does not switch to a TTY.
Only a hard power-off recovers the system.
