Broadcom STA DKMS fails to build against Linux kernel 7.0.0-28 on Ubuntu
24.04 HWE.
The build stops with the following error:
wl.o: error: objtool: aes_cbc_encrypt_pad+0x4c: unannotated intra-
function call
Because of this failure, the following packages remain unconfigured:
- linux-image-7.0.0-28-generic
- linux-headers-7.0.0-28-generic
- linux-headers-generic-hwe-24.04
- linux-generic-hwe-24.04
The current kernel (6.17.0-35-generic) works correctly with the same
Broadcom device.
The failure occurs during the DKMS build of broadcom-sta-dkms
6.30.223.271-23ubuntu1.2 for kernel 7.0.0-28-generic.
