- Laptop model: Dell Latitude 7450
- OS: Ubuntu 26.04 LTS
- Issue: Screen brightness slider and physical keys do not change screen
brightness.
- Detail: During live USB installation, the brightness control works perfectly.
Once installed, changing brightness via system sliders or brightnessctl changes
the internal value in /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight, but the physical
screen remains at 100% brightness.
- Note: Xrandr software workaround only works after disabling Wayland.
