I tested the latest OEM kernel update available on my system.

Kernel tested:

7.0.0-1009-oem

Relevant package versions:

intel-ipu7-dkms:
  0~git202602091007.a88b1909-0ubuntu1

linux-image-7.0.0-1009-oem:
  Installed: 7.0.0-1009.9

linux-modules-7.0.0-1009-oem:
  Installed: 7.0.0-1009.9

linux-main-modules-ipu7-7.0.0-1009-oem:
  Installed: 7.0.0-1009.9

linux-modules-ipu7-oem-26.04:
  Installed: 7.0.0-1009.9

The issue is still present:

- no /dev/video*
- cam --list shows no available cameras
- dmesg still shows the duplicate SONY471A software node failure:

intel-ipu7 0000:00:05.0: Found supported sensor SONY471A:00
sysfs: cannot create duplicate filename '/kernel/software_nodes/SONY471A-0'
kobject: kobject_add_internal failed for SONY471A-0 with -EEXIST
intel-ipu7 0000:00:05.0: error -EEXIST: IPU bridge init failed
intel-ipu7 0000:00:05.0: probe with driver intel-ipu7 failed with error -17

I also see:

imx471: loading out-of-tree module taints kernel
imx471 i2c-SONY471A:00: failed to check hwcfg: -517

So the patch removing the duplicated SONY471A entry does not appear to
be included in linux-oem-7.0 version 7.0.0-1009.9 yet.

Could someone confirm whether the attached patch is planned for the next
linux-oem-7.0 upload?
