Public bug reported:
Description: Ubuntu 26.04 LTS
Release: 26.04
At first BT just wouldn't stay connected. So I found out running
sudo apt install --reinstall bluetooth bluez
Was a temp fix. Upon connecting a usb dongle headset GSP 370 the BT
headset would later on have no audio. Despite switching to it and trying
to change the volume and seeing it receive the volume in the audio
panel.
Running:
Stop bluetooth service: sudo service bluetooth stop
Enable uinput module: sudo modprobe uinput
Start bluetooth service back again: sudo service bluetooth start
That should fix the issue temporarily, until restart. To fix it
permanently, run:
echo 'uinput' | sudo tee -a /etc/modules
Fixed it which I found from a post in 2010
https://askubuntu.com/questions/6642/buttons-on-my-bluetooth-headset-
arent-working?rq=1#
The gsp 370 also suffers from this now but I don't know what command to
run to fix this.
This issue persisted from Mint -> to Unbuntu -> Kubuntu. So I don't
think it was something I did when installing. These devices also worked
fine in windows and the BT headset works fine with my phone.
