I can confirm that this crash occurred repeatedly during GNOME Remote Login session setup/handover on Ubuntu 26.04.
The observed stack matches this report: source_get_fd() ei_send_message() ei_connection_request_sync() ei_connection_sync() I built a local gnome-remote-desktop 50.0 package with additional serialization around libei dispatch/event operations and checks before using absolute-pointer emulation. With the same system and Remote Login workflow, the repeated gnome-remote-desktop/libei crash stopped occurring. This is independent of the separate NVIDIA GNOME Shell rendering crash tracked in bug #2162030. I have retained the local source changes and can provide a minimal patch after separating and reviewing the relevant changes. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2162031 Title: gnome-remote-desktop-daemon crashed with SIGSEGV in source_get_fd() from ei_send_message() from ei_connection_request_sync() from ei_connection_sync() from ei_ping() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-remote-desktop/+bug/2162031/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
