Thanks for reporting. I found and attached a bug watch for the corresponding issue in Debian.
The usual path is that bugs are fixed in the development release (currently Ubuntu Stonking) and then fix applied to older releases through Stable Release Updates (https://ubuntu.com/project/docs/SRU/stable-release-updates/) or backports if applicable. So it looks like the first step would be to apply the patch or newer version to Sid/Stonking. I don't know if there are any blockers here or if maintainers simply haven't gotten round to it yet. ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #966101 https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=966101 ** Also affects: hachoir (Debian) via https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=966101 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Changed in: hachoir (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2161844 Title: hachoir: SyntaxWarning: 'str' object is not callable; perhaps you missed a comma?
