Next time the problem happens, please immediately run:
journalctl -b0 > journal.txt
and attach the resulting text file here.
Also if you suspect triple buffering of causing any problems then you
can turn it off by adding this to /etc/environment:
MUTTER_DEBUG_TRIPLE_BUFFERING=never
and rebooting. At least, that's the environment variable for Ubuntu
24.04. Not for later releases.
