System display completely froze during regular desktop use on X11. The
mouse cursor became un-responsive, and the display output locked up.
System logs indicate an nvidia-modeset GPU display channel error/timeout
on X11. Running 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' afterwards completed cleanly
with zero broken packages, confirming the issue is isolated to the
NVIDIA graphics driver / display server interaction rather than file
corruption.
To maintain system stability, hardware acceleration was manually
disabled in Firefox.
Diagnostic system logs and hardware info attached via Apport/ubuntu-bug.
