Public bug reported:
If I plug in an HDMI monitor after I login, it will not be detected.
The laptop screen does flicker, like it is resetting the graphics, but
the 2nd monitor does not wake up. If I logout/login, the monitor will
wake up, but the background image scaling is way off. I have to reboot
(with the monitor plugged in) to get things to display normally. This
is a real problem when doing a presentation at a guest site.
