Public bug reported:
in /etc/init.d/danted you can see how the script uses $NAME to find
config file. the thing is, the script never passes this config file to
actual daemon /usr/sbin/danted. You can make copy of this init.d file,
change the name to danted2, and /usr/sbin/danted will always fetch
embedded default config path /etc/danted.conf but danted2 service wont
start properly, because /etc/danted2.conf does not exist. you can make
config or even empty file at /etc/danted2.conf path and service will
start, but that config wont be used.
to make it work you need to pass `-f $CONFFILE` argument to daemon. like
from
--exec $DAEMON
to
--exec $DAEMON -- -f $CONFFILE
also the package is dante-server but it changed to dante idk if its okay
