Public bug reported:
The native .deb package of LibreOffice Writer completely freezes after a
period of system inactivity. Upon returning to the application, it stops
responding.
Looking at journalctl logs with Geminis help, the freeze matches
AppArmor entries involving the 'libreoffice-soffice' profile and
'glycin-loaders' ('glycin-svg' / 'glycin-image-rs'), causing a loop in
'zbus::Connection' and 'file_receive'.
Relevant journalctl logs during the freeze:
jul 31 15:27:46 Ryzen5 kernel: audit: type=1400 apparmor="ALLOWED"
operation="open" profile="libreoffice-soffice"
name="/usr/share/glycin-loaders/2+/conf.d/glycin-svg.conf"
jul 31 15:27:47 Ryzen5 kernel: audit: type=1400 apparmor="ALLOWED"
operation="file_receive" class="net" profile="libreoffice-soffice"
comm="zbus::Connectio" family="unix"
peer="libreoffice-soffice//null-/usr/libexec/glycin-loaders/2+/glycin-image-rs"
jul 31 15:27:55 Ryzen5 kernel: audit: type=1400 apparmor="ALLOWED"
operation="open" class="file" profile="libreoffice-soffice"
name="/sys/fs/cgroup/user.slice/.../cpu.max"
Hardware & Isolation context:
- This bug happens on an AMD Ryzen system.
- It DOES NOT happen on my other laptop with Intel + Nvidia.
- It DOES NOT happen when using the Snap version of LibreOffice.
Additional context: This behavior is not a regression from a recent
package update. This freeze has been happening consistently for over a
month. In fact, it was already happening before I recently formatted the
system to reorganize my SSDs, and it persisted on this fresh
installation. In 25.10, all ok.
