Public bug reported:

The internal display remains dark after resuming from suspend on a
Lenovo ThinkPad T470s with linux-image-7.0.0-28-generic.

The system itself resumes successfully. It remains reachable and the
journal records a successful ACPI S3/deep suspend and resume, including:

PM: suspend entry (deep)
ACPI: PM: Low-level resume complete
ACPI: PM: Waking up from system sleep state S3
PM: suspend exit

Regression test:

- linux-image-7.0.0-27-generic: resumes correctly
- linux-image-7.0.0-28-generic: internal display remains dark

The same installation, firmware, hardware and userspace are used in
both tests.

The following workarounds did not resolve the problem:

- i915.enable_psr=0
- i915.enable_dc=0
- acpi_backlight=native

GPU:
Intel Skylake-U GT2 integrated graphics, PCI device 8086:1916

Suspend mode:
ACPI S3 / deep
