Public bug reported:
1) $ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 26.04 LTS
Release: 26.04
2) $ apt-cache policy spnavcfg
spnavcfg:
Installed: 1.3-1
Candidate: 1.3-1
Version table:
*** 1.3-1 500
500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu resolute/universe amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
3) be able to configure spacenav settings
4) application UI shows up with a window ontop that gives error:
"spnavcfg was compiled with corrupted icons/devices.png
If you cloned the git repository, you need to enable GIT-LFS and clone
again. If you don't want to enable LFS, download the latest release
archive, and extract the devices.png file from there, copy it under the
icons directory and recompile"
5) solution? as the error shows, when ubuntu packaging scheme is cloning
repository for this package, there is a need to have large file support.
In these AI times, perhaps even the QA workflow could be extended to
start a packages different applications and make sure they run/don't
complain :)
