No LSB modules are available.
Description: Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS
Release: 24.04
2)
6.30.223.271-23ubuntu1.2
(context:
Both before and after trying the "workaround" of adding
"objtool=/bin/true" to the broadcom dkms.conf, I got:
sudo apt install broadcom-sta-dkms
Reading package lists... Done

broadcom-sta-dkms is already the newest version (6.30.223.271-23ubuntu1.2).

4 not fully installed or removed.

)
3) I was hoping that my wifi would start working again
4) Nothing (no option to install a working broadcom package, which runs
my wifi, which abruptly stopped working when my kernel was upgraded to
7.0.0-28)
more context: My wifi also stopped working when my kernel was upgraded to
6.17.??? earlier this year
That was how I ended up downloading this new Broadcom package ("1.2" instead of
"1.1") after posting a question to the forums.
Is there a "1.3" I'm supposed to find somewhere?
It seems to me that it is a bug because I would hope its not the intended
behavior that wifi just quits sometimes upon a kernel upgrade.
Thanks
