Notes for the SRU team: 1. The split packages provide the same content as current linux- firmware/20240318.git3b128b60-0ubuntu2.29 in noble-proposed. There should be no functional difference (at least that's the intent). This upload just introduces the split.
2. I'm holding off uploading the new linux-firmware metapackage (which depends on the split packages and ties is all together) until all split packages are reviewed, approved and in noble-proposed *and* current linux-firmware/20240318.git3b128b60-0ubuntu2.29 is released. 3. Given that there is no function difference, the split packages can be released to noble-updates and don't need to go to noble-security (I believe that helps with infrastructure issues?). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1958518 Title: Split linux-firmware into multiple packages To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware/+bug/1958518/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
