apport information

** Tags added: apport-collected noble third-party-packages

** Description changed:

Broadcom CV MFD device supports multiple PID's (Fingerprint (FP), smart card,
NFC).
For Non FP devices, our host driver returns an error in the following probe
function saying it is non FP device.

However, the Settings/Users page in the host OS still shows the
Fingerprint GUI (even though it doesn't work).

Is it possible to hide the Fingerprint GUI option when the function
  below returns an error?

We still want this probe to be called for NON FP USB PID's as well
(Smart card or NFC), because this device probe validates that the host
version and FW version are intact, if an FW upgrade is required, it will
  complete.

Broadcom host driver returns GENERAL_ERROR for fpi_device_probe_complete
function, if user space fingerprint driver can decide displaying
Fingerprint windows under users webpage based on this probe status.
