On my ASUS X302LA with Intel HD Graphics 5500 [8086:1616], adding i915.enable_dpcd_backlight=0 completely fixes the black internal display after deep resume.
It also restores the brightness hotkeys, which I had not noticed were affected before. Without the parameter, max_brightness is 1023; with the parameter it becomes 937. The backlight interface is intel_backlight (type raw), associated with eDP-1.
