sudo systemctl hibernate → System hibernates and resumes successfully busctl call org.freedesktop.login1 /org/freedesktop/login1 org.freedesktop.login1.Manager CanHibernate → returns "no" BUT I found that for root it returns yes but for actual user no. ✔ swift3:~> sudo -i [sudo] password for user: root@swift3:~# ts=$(date +%T.%6N) root@swift3:~# busctl call org.freedesktop.login1 /org/freedesktop/login1 org.freedesktop.login1.Manager CanHibernate s "yes" root@swift3:~# journalctl --since="$ts" -u systemd-logind.service > logs.txt root@swift3:~# exit logout ✔ swift3:~> busctl call org.freedesktop.login1 /org/freedesktop/login1 org.freedesktop.login1.Manager CanHibernate s "no" ✔ swift3:~> ** Attachment added: "logs.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/2149776/+attachment/5991608/+files/logs.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2149776 Title: systemd-logind reports CanHibernate=no despite working hibernate via systemctl To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/2149776/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
