Linux installers generally operate on a destructive-by-consent philosophy. When you tell GRUB to install to the MBR, the installer assumes you know what you are doing, or that you are intentionally turning that machine into a dedicated Linux/multi-boot system. It executes a straightforward write operation (dd style or equivalent low- level block write) and moves on. https://www.openskycc.com.co
