1.93 is still the default right?
reverse-depends --release stonking src:rustc-1.93
Reverse-Depends
===============
* cargo (for cargo-1.93)
* cargo-doc (for cargo-1.93-doc)
* libstd-rust-dev (for libstd-rust-1.93-dev)
* rust-all (for rust-1.93-all)
* rust-clippy (for rust-1.93-clippy)
* rust-doc (for rust-1.93-doc)
* rust-gdb (for rust-1.93-gdb)
* rust-lldb (for rust-1.93-lldb)
* rust-miri (for rust-1.93-miri)
* rust-src (for rust-1.93-src)
* rustc (for rustc-1.93)
* rustfmt (for rustfmt-1.93)
If I understand you right you eventually want latest three with 97 as the goal
which means 95,96,97
But have not yet asked to remove 94 - fine for now
I assume you will do so later.
With all that said - I'd almost ack to 1.91 and 1.92.
But then there is also "lace" which still direct depends on rust1.91.
reverse-depends --release stonking --build-depends src:rustc-1.91
Reverse-Build-Depends
=====================
* lace (for rustc-1.91)
* lace (for cargo-1.91)
* lace (for rust-1.91-src)
Right now only 1.92 seems eligible and that would be an odd removal in between.
Could I ask you overall to do the following:
1. move rust default
2. get all reverse dependencies gone so that e.g. `reverse-depends --release
stonking --build-depends src:rustc-1.91` and `reverse-depends --release
stonking src:rustc-1.91` are completely empty except dependencies of itself.
(or even better the checkrdepends and seeded check you did in the old bug)
3. report these empty reverse depends here on the bug
Then this seems more actionable
P.S. many would love to move the default more closely with Debian, as
otherwise syncs fall apart e.g. now 1.93 with us and newer expectations
in the syncs.
