the previous kernels to work, and for the future kernels to have this
too.

Let me just say that I am a fan of your step by step and detailed
approach. I feel like I have learned a lot and am very grateful for it
:)

Now for me to live with this workaround: I should be adding the
xe.enable_dpcd_backlight=2 line in the grub, correct? where exactly?
Because I have perceived that the line order is important in that
file...
