This could have been a "picking" input bug in the shell, or a bug in the
app. I'm not aware of any such shell bugs in recent years...
If it happens again then we'd be interested to know if it's only one app
affected, and if so then we'd like to get a crash report from the
frozen app by sending it a fatal signal.
