@the-meulengracht — I used the following steps.

1. snap install lxd
2. lxd init --auto
3. lxc launch ubuntu:26.04 abercorn
4. lxc shell abercorn

I don't have time today, but as soon as I get some time, I'll create a
new installation and test using "lxd init" without "--auto". I'll report
back here.
